We are ecstatic to share that after years of discussion and fundraising, the LGBT Fallen Heroes Fund has signed the contract and made a down payment to buy the sites that we will eventually hold the LGBT Fallen Heroes Memorial at the Historic Congressional Cemetery, in Washington D.C., just footsteps away from the resting place of Sgt Leonard Matlovich.
None of this would have been possible without your generous donations and we are confident that with your continued support we will be able to provide a permanent place for our LGBT Fallen Heroes to be remembered and that their service to our communities will never be forgotten!
This is a VERY big step for a non-profit as small as we are and we do not take this responsibility lightly. There is still a lot of money to be raised over the next few years, not only for the cost of the 3 sites, but also for the cost to construct the memorial itself.
